Located on the scenic banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar, surrounded by the Zabarwan Mountain range and located near some of the most famous Mughal Gardens, the SK International Convention Centre (SKICC) is one of the premier venues for conventions and conferences. Designed by the world-renowned architect Joseph Stein, who also created many of the buildings within the city of Srinagar, SKICC was founded in 1977 for international conference and convention use. The facility continues to be used for both large and small gatherings throughout Kashmir, including conferences, exhibitions, corporate meetings, cultural programs, and government events.

With multiple large & small halls, banquet facilities and outdoor spaces, SKICC has been designed specifically for hosting both large & medium-sized professional gatherings.

Facilities & Event Spaces

Plenary Hall / Main Auditorium

The main attraction of the convention center is the climate-controlled plenary auditorium with a seating capacity of around 650–750 delegates, including balcony seating and a press gallery. The hall is equipped with modern audio-visual systems, video conferencing facilities, and simultaneous interpretation systems for international conferences and keynote sessions.

Banquet Hall

The facility contains a large banquet room that may accommodate as many as 600 people for dinner, banquet, and gala-type events. The banquet room can be split into three separate spaces so that smaller events or private events can be held at the same time.

Winter Hall & Committee Rooms

There is a variety of meeting space and committee captains at the S.K.I.C.C. for holding your company's regular meetings; seminars; workshop-type meetings; or group-based breakout activities at large conferences. All meeting spaces at the S.K.I.C.C. have a basic level of setup, such as screens or projectors, as well as the ability to have complete AV (audio visual) equipment set up by a professional technician.

Conference & Exhibition Facilities

The S.K.I.C.C. has multiple types of conference facilities, including meeting rooms, exhibition space, and VIP lounges, giving the S.K.I.C.C. an excellent location to host International Summits, International Conferences, Corporate Conventions, and Industry Exhibitions.

Outdoor Lawns & Event Areas

The SKICC venue includes vast outdoor landscaped lawns with views of Dal Lake. These can be used to host an array of events, including concerts, receptions, cultural programs, and family gatherings (with capacity depending on event configuration).

SKICC is approximately 20-25 minutes away from the Srinagar international airport (approx. 7 km from the city center of Srinagar) and therefore easily accessible for delegates attending national and international events hosted at this venue.
