The Band T.R.A.P - The Radical Array Project—combines experimental rock and powerful live performances. They are based in Kolkata, India, and they are known for creating their own musical style (with no genre limitations). Bhaswar Sen, a visionary violinist who created the band from an experimental collective with a few musicians, has built this band into one of the most exciting independent music acts in India today because of their originality, depth of music, and high-energy live performances.

The Radical Array Project is T.R.A.P., a band with a philosophy of experimentation with many different types of music. The name itself embodies their goal to push the limits of their creativity. T.R.A.P. takes all this into consideration when they create new music. Instead of being confined to just one type of genre (rock, for example) they incorporate style, complexity, and improvisation from several styles (including but not limited to rock, progressive music, instrumental pieces and fusion). T.R.A.P. is a band that pushes the boundaries of rock, experimental, and progressive music through its originality and creativity.

T.R.A.P.'s unique sound is characterized by the unusual mixture of instruments, such as  Violins, Electric guitars, Bass, Keyboards, Drums, Vox, etc. By combining the violin with the power of Rock music and Contemporary Electronic sounds, T.R.A.P creates an exciting and vibrant musical texture. The resulting sound creates a unique awareness of the origin of each of the different types of instruments.

Presently, the following group of musicians represents the current band: Bhaswar Sen-Violinist (Band Founder); Arijit Paul-Vocalist; Darpa Das-Guitar; Swapnabha Roy-Bass; Anupam Pyne-Keyboard; and Suanjita Dutta-Drums. Each musician has different musical backgrounds and influences, which have led to many different types of music and arts being created through their talents to build a distinct place for themselves as part of India's independent music community.

T.R.A.P. is an explosive live performance ensemble that has performed at countless college festivals, music concerts and cultural events throughout their country of India. T.R.A.P. has travelled to over twenty-five states and many of the most recognized institutions in India, including several IITs, IIMs, NITs AIIMS, IISc, Jadavpur University and Presidency University while appealing to fans whenever possible as well as developing a loyal following around the country.

They are known for combining different types of performance art into a single show by using audio-visual elements, experimenting with different arrangement styles, or having a high level of audience participation. They also often include instrumental renditions of well-known songs, Bollywood-style mixes, and original compositions. Each creative performance becomes an immersive performing arts experience.

Besides India, T.R.A.P. has also spread its music across the globe in countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, and Thailand.

The band has released many original songs and instrumental albums, such as their EP, “Obliviate,” as well as their popular songs and covers like Manzil, Lamhein, Yakeen, and Pyaar Hua. The online presence of the band has been growing with its strong popularity on YouTube and social media sites, which indicates the popularity of the band among young music lovers.
