About Soulmate Band
Soulmate is a popular blues rock band from India, formed in Shillong in 2002. The band is known for their electrifying performances and their soulful, bluesy sound that draws from various influences such as rock, blues, jazz, and folk.

Soulmate was founded by guitarist Rudy Wallang and vocalist Tipriti Kharbangar, who met in Shillong and discovered a shared love for blues music. The duo started performing together and quickly gained a following in the local music scene. They were soon joined by drummer Samuel Shullai and bassist Leon Wallang, completing the lineup for the band.
Soulmate released their debut album "Shillong" in 2004, which was well received by audiences and critics alike. The album showcased the band's unique sound, blending traditional blues elements with Indian influences and featuring powerful vocals and guitar work.
Since then, Soulmate has gone on to release several more albums, including "Moving On" and "Ten Stories Up," which have cemented their place as one of the most prominent blues rock bands in India. They have also performed at numerous music festivals and venues across India and abroad, including the Mahindra Blues Festival and the Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival.
Soulmate's music is characterized by the powerful vocals of Tipriti Kharbangar, the fiery guitar work of Rudy Wallang, and the tight rhythm section of Shullai and Leon Wallang. Their songs often address issues of social justice and equality, and their live performances are known for their high energy and infectious enthusiasm.
