Saumya has made a name for herself as a distinguished figure in the world of words, poetry, and creative expression, engaging with English, Hindi, Urdu, and Sanskrit literature through writing, workshops, and live performances.

Saumya has always loved writing and poetry; as an accomplished poet and blogger, she launched her own project called The Poets’ Collective. As a result of this success, she established this informal poetry club as a meeting place for poets to come together to share their individual expressions of creativity. In addition to her work with The Poets’ Collective, Saumya also co?founded and operates The Other Quill (which she created) as a website for poetic voices. Finally, Saumya developed and operates “Maha Varta,” a mythology club based in New Delhi where she conducts workshops and presentations covering various mythological, historical, and philosophical works.

Saumya enjoys teaching as well as writing. She has taught English poetry and Indian mythology at IIIT Delhi as a guest lecturer for a variety of students; additionally, she runs many creative writing and poetry workshops for schools, NGOs and colleges. Her wide range includes classical Sanskrit poetry, drama, Urdu poetry, and British Romantic poetry.

In addition to performing, Saumya has developed into a successful voiceover artist who has recorded radio jingles, television commercials (TVCs), and stage performances. She has also written and narrated productions such as Lore of Love, Nayika and Aarohi, which are a mix of poetry, narration and music in live immersive experiences.

Along with her performance talents, she is also a creative person and creates innovative communication and branding strategies to change how people and education will be influenced by their engagement with them. She has additional experience in senior positions in both digital marketing and social media.
