About Bihari Lal Amber

Bihari Lal, popularly known as Bihari, was one of the finest poets in the 17th century. He has been credited with some really beautiful pieces of Hindi poetry. Hailing from Bihar, he became a popular figure in the Indian literary world, especially in "satasai" or hundred and seven couplets. His most famous piece, "Satasai," was written during his stay in Jaipur. He had been invited to Jaipur by Raja Jai Singh I of Amber.
