She has sung songs in the movies ‘Lingaa’ and ‘PK’ and collaborated on the album ‘Raunaq’ featuring Lata Mangeshkar and A.R. Rahman. She has shared her experience of working with A.R. Rahman in the world tour to be her blessing and has also described him as a perfectionist. She has also sung for numerous serial and TV commercials. Her Bollywood cover on Maiya Maiya, Duaa, Hasi, etc. has been highly appreciated by many people.
Biography-
Varsha Tripathi, a singer, performer, and YouTuber, was born and brought up in Kolkata. She started singing at the age of four and is trained in Indian classical music under Ustad Waseem Ahmed Khan Sahab from the Agra Gharana. She was a finalist in Zee Bangla Saregamapa and the runner-up of India’s first web series Close Up Websinger under the mentorship of Pritam. With more than 2 million views on her cover of the song, Duaa got her recognition over the internet.
After getting recognition on the internet, she was picked up by #fame to become a famestar on its LIVE app, where she hosted a show called ‘Dil Se with Varsha’ and got to interview many celebrities from the music industry. One of the many highlights of her career is her performance with the legendary A.R. Rahman. She has sung for the MTV Coke Studio for Mr. Rahman and toured with him for many national and international music concerts.
Varsha is also trained in Bharatnatyam and Egyptian Classical Dance commonly known as Belly Dancing.
