TRISHNA is an Indie Rock band that has been painting the stages ablaze since it came into being in 2009. Founded by two brothers, Monty and Max, the band's journey began with a deep passion for music and the dream of creating something unique in the indie rock space.
Officially, the band had come into existence in May 2009 when, at Genesis Club in Lucknow, the lead guitarist Max and the lead singer Monty performed their first-ever gig. This electrifying performance sent them knocking at the door of recognition in the local music scene, and opportunities began to trickle in one by one.
One of the most memorable moments of Trishna's journey was when they got the opportunity to share the stage with the legendary Kailash Kher in Lucknow. It was during this performance that their band, originally called "Tashna," underwent a name transformation. Impressed by their energy and musical depth, Kailash Kher suggested changing the name to "Trishna"—a word that carries the same meaning as "Tashna" but with a more profound essence. Trishna, meaning "Thirst for Music," was the epitome of the band's unrelenting passion and dedication toward creating soulful rock melodies.
Since then, Trishna has evolved into a powerhouse of indie rock music, blending raw emotion with high-energy performances. Their music is a fusion of soulful lyrics, powerful vocals, and electrifying guitar solos, which resonates deeply with their audience. Over the years, they have performed at numerous live concerts, music festivals, college events, corporate gigs, private parties, and cultural gatherings, leaving a lasting impression wherever they go.
