About The Kheta Khan Group
Kheta Khan is a young yet rising artist from the state of Rajasthan, hailing from the village Baiyya in the Jaisalmer district. He belongs to the Manganiyar community, known throughout the globe for their rich traditions of folk music. Kheta Khan started learning music at the tender age of ten under the supervision of his father, Chanan Khan. His uncle, Hasan Khan, a highly adept musician of the Kamaicha, too played a great part in shaping Kheta's musical journey.
The Kheta Khan Group is a celebrated folk music group personifying the Manganiyar community. The group sings songs narrating stories from the royal Rajput families, especially their patrons, the Bhati family. Kheta Khan and his group perform such events with a deep-rooted passion to preserve the cultural heritage of Rajasthan with a touch of soul and authenticity.
Their performances are a perfect medley of traditional tunes and rhythmic beats combined with Dhol, Dholak, Khartaal, Harmonium, and Morchang. These instruments keep the shimmer of Rajasthan alive with their melodious voices.
