About Swati Sharma
Preeti Pinky was a famous Indian singing duo famous for their high-energy performances and chart-busting Bollywood numbers. The singing duo, formed by sisters Preeti and Pinky, became a national hit with their track Piya Piya from the 2000 film Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega. Their distinct voices and high-energy singing made them a favorite among music fans, particularly for dance and party tracks.
Both Preeti and Pinky were born and brought up in Gujarat. They started singing at a very young age and were trained in classical music. Their talent for singing in perfect harmony and their control over various genres of music enabled them to gain a strong foothold in the Indian music industry. They sang in various languages such as Hindi, Gujarati, and Punjabi, thus making them versatile singers with a diverse fan following.
In addition to playback singing for Bollywood, Preeti and Pinky were famous for their dynamic live performances. They performed regularly at concerts, weddings, and Navratri functions, entertaining crowds with their energetic stage performance. Their music was often a mix of folk, Bollywood, and modern styles, creating a niche for the duo.
They came out with a number of albums and independent songs over the years, entertaining their audience. Their music was not only Bollywood but also devotional and regional, proving their versatility. Even with shifts in the music industry, they had a strong fan base because of their skill and commitment.
Sadly, Pinky died in 2022, bringing the era of the duo to a close. Their music, however, still lives on, reminding people of their contribution to Indian music. Preeti has continued her interest in music, ensuring their legacy remains through performances and recordings.
