About Sunil Grover
Sunil Grover is an Indian actor, comedian, and television personality who has been known for his great versatility and impeccable comic timing. Born on August 3, 1977, in Mandi Dabwali, Haryana, Sunil pursued his education at Guru Nanak College and later earned a master's degree in theatre from Punjab University, Chandigarh. His academic background in the performing arts laid the foundation for his illustrious career in entertainment.
Sunil Grover first gained recognition as a voice-over artist, particularly for his work on the popular radio show "Hansi Ke Phuware" on Radio Mirchi. However, it was his transition to television and comedy that catapulted him to national fame. Sunil became a household name when he portrayed the iconic character Gutthi on the comedy show "Comedy Nights with Kapil" and later as Dr. Mashoor Gulati on "The Kapil Sharma Show." His humorous sketches, quirky catchphrases, and unique ability to connect with audiences earned him widespread acclaim.
Besides television, Sunil has also done some great work for Bollywood. He has appeared in films such as "Gabbar is Back" (2015), "Bharat" (2019) with Salman Khan, and the critically acclaimed "Goodbye" (2022) with Amitabh Bachchan. Here, he has shown off his acting skills beyond comedy in those films.
Sunil also ventured into web series. He received acclaim for his performances in shows like "Tandav" (2021) on Amazon Prime Video, where he portrayed a serious role and thus showcased his range as an actor.
