Preeti Pinky was a hit Indian singing duo with their lively stage performances and blockbuster Bollywood hits. The duo of sisters Preeti and Pinky became popular all over the country with their hit song Piya Piya in the 2000 film Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega. With their distinct voices and peppy singing style, they became an audience favorite for dance and party numbers.
Both Preeti and Pinky were born and brought up in Gujarat. Both of them started singing at a very young age and had received training in classical music. They could sing in perfect harmony, and they were well-versed in various music genres, thus making them prominent figures in the Indian music scene. They sang in various languages such as Hindi, Gujarati, and Punjabi, thereby making them diverse artists with diverse fans.
Besides playback singing in Bollywood, Preeti and Pinky were famous for their lively stage performances. They would regularly perform on the concert, wedding, and Navratri circuits, enthralling audiences with their energetic stage shows. Their sound featured a mix of folk, Bollywood, and modern forms, giving the duo a unique identity.
They came out with a number of albums and solo tracks over the years, entertaining their audience. Their music was not only of the Bollywood type but also covered devotional and regional genres, reflecting their aptitude for variety. Changing times in the music business could not dissipate their fan base because of their skills and commitment.
Unfortunately, Pinky died in 2022, ending an era for the duo. Their songs, though, still live on, remembering them for their Indian music contribution. Preeti has also carried on with music, remembering them with performances and recordings.
