About Prakash Iyer
Prakash Iyer is a well-known leadership coach, inspirational speaker, and best-selling author with an Indian base. He has spent more than three decades in the corporate sector and has been responsible for important roles such as Managing Director of Kimberly-Clark Lever, Managing Director and CEO of Infomedia India Limited (formerly Tata Infomedia), and Executive Director with PepsiCo, where he was in charge of operations across South India, Sri Lanka, and subsequently Regional Vice President in China. An IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, Iyer started his career at Hindustan Unilever Limited.
In 2014, Iyer gave up his corporate life to actualize his passion for leadership development and storytelling. He established Leadership Works, a company that specializes in coaching leaders and teams to realize their full potential. His work has made him a popular speaker with over 100 talks in six countries and multiple industries. He is also a frequent speaker at TEDx events throughout India.
Iyer has written a number of bestsellers. His first book, The Habit of Winning (2011), was shortlisted for The Economist Crossword Popular Book Award and has been translated into seven languages. He then wrote The Secret of Leadership (2013) and How Come No One Told Me That? (2021), both exploring leadership principles and self-improvement.
Apart from his writing, Iyer is an avid cricket fan and frequently compares cricket with leadership during his presentations. He stresses the value of teamwork, perseverance, and learning, values which he attributes to successful living on and off the cricket pitch.
