About POSTBOX Band
Postbox is an alternative rock band based out of Delhi that had begun its music career in the summer of 2017, originally named SAFAR. Following a core group of passionate and talented musicians, the band intended to create music that sinks deep into the heart of the audience. After gaining several hearts with the energetic and soulful performances, the band took a brave step in the direction of revamping its identity into POSTBOX. With the new name came a feel with a whole new vision that symbolized a musical experience that takes the listener back in time to deliver those "old-school letters" of memories.
The present lineup, fondly given the moniker of “postmen,” consists of Nihal Khamboj, Himanshu Chaudhary, Nakul Sharma, Shivam Mehta, and Prannoy David. All five members come with the load of musical experience from having performed professionally for 7-8 years, and this flows on stage in their tight performances and their music, which effortlessly melds retro warmth with that edgy feel of today's alternative rock.
Crafting a melody that takes listeners through the emotional alleys of their recollections of simpler times blended with a modern twist is a mandate for Postbox. These atmospheric factors pour forth soul-stirring vocals, heart-throbbing guitar riffs, and pulsating beats that work together to create a richly immersive experience. The band's music exists beyond pure sound; it is the fabric of their stories, of moments and memories awakening, like an old, heartfelt letter.
In its own right, Postbox has made its name in the independent scene over the years by performing for multiple respected brands like Vodafone India, Axis Bank, Hard Rock Cafe, etc. This versatility is marked by their intelligent adaptability of musical language according to the varied tastes of the spectators, from audience-wary corporate gigs to lively, interactive music festivals, enhancing an already high level of commitment toward their craft.
With nostalgia entwined with contemporary modernity, POSTBOX thrives onward, touching hearts, creating, and sustaining musical experiences that linger far beyond the fading of the last note. The present then gives way to the future—exploring beyond—their focus is unmistakable in pouring out heartfelt melodies to move the soul and keep the art of storytelling alive via the medium of music.
