Osman Mir, born on 22 May 1974 in Mandvi, Kutch, is a great Indian playback singer, known for his exceptional contribution to Hindi as well as Gujarati music. With expertise spanning ghazals, bhajans, Bollywood songs, folk music, and Indian classical music, he is often referred to as the "Sur Samrat," "Ghazal King," and "Music Magician." His musical journey began under the guidance of his first guru, his father, Husenbhai, and later continued with formal training from Ismailbhai Datar. Beginning as a tabla player, Osman Mir performed together with the late Shri Narayan Swami. He then shifted his career to singing and carved out a niche in the industry as one of the most versatile performers. He moved to Rajkot 12 years ago and went on to reach international recognition with his mesmerizing stage shows.
