Nimrat Khaira, who was born on August 8, 1992, in Batala, Punjab, is a renowned Punjabi actress and singer celebrated for her exceptional work in Punjabi cinema and music. Since childhood, she had an avid interest in music and learned classical music under Sushil Narang. Although she took up a course in biotechnology, her interest in music forced her to become a part of the Punjabi entertainment industry.
Nimrat's career shot to fame in 2015 when she teamed up with Nishawn Bhullar for the duet "Rab Karke," which got her noticed in the music industry. It was, however, her solo song "Ishq Kacheri" in 2016 that became a huge hit and cemented her position in the Punjabi music industry. She went on to have a series of hit songs, such as "Salute Wajde," "Rohab Rakhdi," "Suit," and "Designer," which established her as a versatile singer with powerful vocals.
Besides her career in music, Nimrat launched her acting career in 2017 in the Punjabi film "Lahoriye," in which she played the role of Harleen Kaur. She kept expanding her body of work in acting with the movies "Afsar" (2018), "Teeja Punjab" (2021), and "Jodi" (2023). Her performances as an actress have awarded her numerous recognitions, among which is the Best Female Actress award at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards for her appearance in "Teeja Punjab."
Besides her career as an artist, Nimrat has also gained recognition for her health and fitness consciousness, frequently posting about her lifestyle and fitness routine on social media. Her journey from being a classical music student to a renowned singer and actress speaks volumes of her passion, commitment, and adaptability as an artist.
