NerveRek is a Progressive Rock/Metal Band formed by Arjun "Chiq" Dhanraj in August 2003! The band has opened for international acts such as Iron Maiden, The Scorpions, & Pain of Salvation.
Biography-
The difference between a good and a great band lies in its ability to maintain a perfect balance between musicality and acceptability. To showcase technical prowess whilst getting an average music buff to clap and sing along to its music truly requires a great deal of songwriting skills combined with the art of knowing that sometimes... less is more!
With catchy guitar riffs, unexpected time signature changes, polyrhythmic yet groovy drumming, rumbling funk bass lines, ambient keys, pop-influenced vocals, and lyrics one can sing after the first listen, NerveRek proves time and again why its worthy of being termed a great band!
The list of laurels is incomplete without mentioning the energetic live shows with intense headbanging, metronome precision, contrasting dynamics, and a roaring crowd, of course. With a lightshow and a good sound engineer, NerveRek will leave little to be desired.
