About Neha Bhaseen
Neha Bhasin is a celebrated Indian playback singer and performer renowned for her robust voice, adaptability, and bold attitude towards music. She has established herself in Bollywood, Tollywood, and the indie music world, singing in several languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Punjabi, and Telugu. Through her fearless attitude and energetic live performances, she has made herself one of the most distinctive voices in the market.
Neha was born in Delhi. She started her musical career at a young age, learning Indian classical music and Western vocals. She initially rose to fame as a member of *Viva*, India's first all-female pop band that was created through the reality show Coke Popstars in 2002. The band was an overnight hit, and Neha's unique voice was prominent, setting the stage for her solo career
When Viva dissolved, Neha began playback singing and made it big with the success of "Kuch Khaas Hai" from Fashion and "Dhunki" from *Mere Brother Ki Dulhan*. Her talent for infusing raw emotion and energy in her songs earned music directors a special liking for her. She also became an important part of the Tamil film industry with numbers like "Pesugiren Pesugiren" from Satham Podathey, for which she received a Filmfare nomination.
Apart from songs in films, Neha has been instrumental in bringing back Punjabi folk music through her solo tracks such as "Akh Kashni," "Bajre Da Sitta," and "Nai Jaana." These tracks reflect her affinity for folk culture with a contemporary turn.
Famous for her bold approach and original style, Neha keeps pushing boundaries by experimenting with genres, mixing modern and folk influences.
