Kanwar Grewal completed his schooling from Bathinda in Punjab. He was born into a jatt family of farmers. He developed an interest in music from a very young age, and therefore, to pursue his interest, he started learning singing while in 6th grade. It was during his school days that he gave his first stage performance. To hone his singing skills, he enrolled at the SBC College of Kotkpura and obtained his graduated degree in music from there. After which, he obtained his postgraduate degree in music from Punjabi University in Patiala.
He finally began his professional singing career in the year 2013 with the album "Akhan.”. The album was an instant hit among the audience, and his next album was eagerly awaited. He didn’t let his fans wait longer and soon released his next album, titled “Jogi Nath.". This album, too, like his previous album, was well received. After two back-to-back super hit albums, he never looked back and was contracted by various decorated record labels and released albums like “Raanjheya Ve” and “Tumba Nee Vajda Taar Bina.". His singles like “Ticktan Do Lay Layi” and “Mastana Jogi” were also well received.
Soon from independent albums, he branched out to the Punjabi film industry and made his singing debut through the hit song “Faqeera” from the blockbuster film “Ardaas” in 2016. This film was directed by the legendary actor of the Punjabi film industry named “Gippy Grewal.". His latest song, Takkdi, was released a few days ago and has already become a sensation. He will soon be making his Bollywood singing debut as well.
