Dhiraj Bakshi is a distinguished dance professional, choreographer, and the visionary Founder-Director of SSDA, known for shaping some of India’s finest contemporary performers. Beginning his dance journey in 2000 under the mentorship of Ashley Lobo at The Danceworx (Delhi), Dhiraj immersed himself in rigorous training and mastered multiple styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz funk, and Latin ballroom, learning from internationally acclaimed teachers and choreographers.
His career is adorned with significant milestones, including impactful performances and appearances on renowned reality shows such as Dance India Dance, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and So You Think You Can Dance (India)—where his artistry, technique, and emotional depth won admiration from audiences worldwide.
As an educator and creative leader, Dhiraj is deeply committed to elevating the quality of dance training in India. Through SSDA, he emphasizes discipline, refined technique, and the beauty of intentional movement, mentoring hundreds of students in Mumbai and inspiring dancers across the country.
