Deepika Padukone, born on January 5, 1986, in Copenhagen, Denmark, yet raised in Bangalore, is the daughter of a badminton champion and today one of the greatest film stars of her time from Bollywood. She took the initial steps in the game but later shifted focus into modeling, which, sooner or later, led her into film acting.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with the film Om Shanti Om, directed by Farah Khan, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Her performance was widely appreciated, and she quickly rose to stardom. Following that, she delivered several hits such as Chennai Express (2013), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), and Padmaavat (2018), cementing her place as one of the industry's top actresses. This diversity has led to Deepika playing all varied characters—from a romantic heroine to a warrior queen.
Apart from her acting career, Deepika is a successful producer and an advocate for mental health awareness. She founded the production company Ka Productions and starred in and produced Chhapaak (2020), a film that deals with acid attack survivors. Deepika has also openly spoken about her battle with depression and worked to reduce stigma surrounding mental health.
