About Bawari The Musical Journey
Bawari is a musical journey band based in Delhi, India. The band was formed in 2015 and has since become one of the most popular musical groups in the city. Bawari is a Hindi word that means 'crazy' or 'eccentric', and the band's music is indeed an eclectic mix of various genres.
The band members come from different musical backgrounds and bring their unique styles to create a sound that is a fusion of folk, sufi, rock, and pop. The band comprises six members: Shivangi Bhayana on lead vocals, Utkarsh Sharma on guitar, Sarthak Mudgal on bass, Ashwin Nayar on drums, Anirudh Varma on keyboard, and Prashant Bharadwaj on percussions.
Bawari's music is characterized by its strong vocal melodies, intricate guitar riffs, and pulsating rhythms. The band's lyrics are in Hindi and are often inspired by personal experiences, emotions, and the different shades of life. They have performed at various venues across Delhi, including The Piano Man Jazz Club, Hard Rock Cafe, and Summer House Cafe, among others.
Bawari has released several singles and an EP titled 'Mera Gaon,' which was released in 2020. The EP features four tracks, each with a distinct sound and mood. The title track 'Mera Gaon' is a soulful ballad that talks about the joys and sorrows of living in a small village. 'Piya' is a romantic song that showcases Shivangi's powerful vocals, while 'Pehla Pyar' is a nostalgic tune that takes the listener back to the innocence of their first love. The EP concludes with 'Nimmo's Song', an upbeat track that celebrates the free spirit of a woman.
Bawari has received critical acclaim for their unique sound and powerful performances. The band has been featured in several publications, including Rolling Stone India and The Indian Express. They have also been featured on various radio channels such as Red FM, Radio City, and Radio One.
