Them Clones was formed in August 2000. It is a mythic Indian rock band from New Delhi. What started out as an experimental jam in drummer Surojit Dev's bedroom in RK Puram, South Delhi quickly took shape into something much more musically substantial. Drum loops and guitar riffs were too immense to be locked up; they even got them evicted with complaints of "excessive noise"
Them Clones was one of India's most prized rock bands of all time and had various achievements and accolades that testify their exceptional talent over the years. The band has been successful when they gained full recognition at the Channel [V] LaunchPad as "chosen ones" back in 2005. Over the live shows and energetic show, it clinched 'Best Band' status at the Jack Daniel's Rock Awards 2006 and 2007.
In 2007, they further cemented their place in the rock scene by becoming the second runners-up at the Channel [V] AMP Big Break All Asia competition. Their success didn’t stop there—2009 brought more accolades at the Jack Daniel’s Rock Awards, where they won ‘Best Song,’ ‘Best Vocalist,’ and ‘Best Drummer’ awards. My Life, in song, made Indian Music Academy IMA award go gaga; they made headlines for having bagged Best Song in Rock Category.
