To pursue a career in music is often something perceived to be bold yet risky. We can easily prove our reputation as bold risk-takers who, despite all the difficulties, are following our passion. The journey of The Project Raag began much before it became an actual band.
Pratham Tandon, our keyboardist, was running a restaurant in Delhi's Punjabi Bagh, and Mohit Arya, our lead guitarist, worked as a secretary in a company. They were both keenly aware of their musical talents and felt that something was missing in their lives. By 2016, they came to the realization that music had to be more than a hobby—it had to be their life's work. Leaving behind secure jobs and the comfort of routine, they took a leap of faith to create The Project Raag.
Soon enough, the duo found two exceptional artists to complete their dream team. Rahul Rana joined as the lead vocalist, and with his powerful and captivating voice, he has mesmerized audiences everywhere. Together, they form a band that delivers performances filled with energy, passion, and soul.
Project Raag's musical sojourn is actually based on the belief that no one can confine music. And the band just takes inspiration from Sufi and folk, from Bollywood and retro to Western styles, creating the most soulful symphonies that resonate well with every type of audience present. Every show is a result of their utmost dedication and passion for music.
