About Purva Mantri

Purva Mantri is an accomplished Indian singer and performer who rose to fame due to her dynamic stage presence and rich voice. She hails from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, and comes from a musically trained Marwadi family. Purva started learning under her mother, a Hindustani classical singer, before honing her craft under numerous music instructors in Indore, which made her the artist she is today.

She started her career in the entertainment sector by providing voiceovers for the opening credits of the famous TV series Balika Vadhu and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Her hard work and vocal skills were recognized as she received the Singer Performer of the Year award from IBM in 2015. She has appeared on stage with famous artists including Sonu Nigam, Vishal-Shekhar, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Kunal Ganjawala, and Bappi Lahiri over the years.

She made history in 2024 as the first-ever Indian female musician to feature the traditional Puneri Dhol as part of her live performances at her US-Canada tour. Singing and balancing a 26-kilogram dhol, she fascinated crowds in such cities as Houston, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Savannah, Edison, and Boston. It was a very special act of her love for rhythm and percussion instruments, something that made her stand out from the rest of the music scene.

In addition to stage performances, Purva has also appeared as a contestant on Indian Idol and was a close runner-up in the Closeup Websinger competition. She has studied at Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares school, indicating her dedication to diversifying her acting skills.
