About Grey Shack

Grey Shack is an enduring outfit that came into being in 2007. True to form, the band has played loud and unapologetic rock 'n' roll all these years. It is a wonder how the band keeps creating music that sounds reminiscent of the days when rock was raw and in-your-face cool even now while the musical trends continue to change quickly by the minute. But, as for Grey Shack, it still is.

From its formative years, the band has always pushed itself musically and technically, in search of that sweet magical spot between being technically proficient and infectious hooks that you just can't get out of your mind. It's a riff that carries you through or a chorus that stretches endlessly after a show; Grey Shack knows how to put a brand in the head.

With the launch of their new album "Alchemy," the band dares a bold transformation into a different sound and lyricism. Heavy music encompasses rich three-part vocal harmonies, and every member challenges all in the band to uplift themselves at the craft. It speaks to the relentless growth quest of the group with a new sonic experience that's neither stale nor unmistakably Grey Shack.

Drawing inspirations from bands such as Mr. Big, The Winery Dogs, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and even the technical wizardry of Dream Theatre, the band seamlessly intertwines these influences. But then again, they shape them into something unique—a sound as familiar as it is distinct and always full of attitude.

In today's world of political correctness, where people are easily offended by the smallest things, Grey Shack stands up through their music. They don't shy away from singing about what's wrong in the world, nor do they apologize for it. Pretty much that's the whole point of art—honesty, courage, and pronouncing the self.
