About Abhijit Bhattacharya

Abhijeet Bhattacharya is a legendary Indian playback singer with a unique voice and hit songs that have shaped Bollywood music for decades. Born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, he migrated to Mumbai to follow his dream of singing, and his perseverance was rewarded when he debuted as a playback singer in the late 1980s.

His big break arrived with the film Baaghi (1990), in which he sang for Salman Khan, and from then on, his career took off. Abhijeet was one of the most in-demand voices of the '90s and early 2000s, singing for leading Bollywood heroes Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Saif Ali Khan.
